The terrible two’s – Guest post at Carly Blogs

October 15, 2018 2 By Shan Ellis Williams

Mothers know that the terrible two’s are absolutely terrible, don’t we? I think all parents do! So this is fitting with my Blogtober series, I have a featured post over at Carly’s blog, which you can find here.

This woman is pretty special, and this post is part of a bigger series on her blog called the Toddler Years. I love hearing if people have similar experiences to me with their kids. How I long to be one of these mothers who has perfect kids who sit politely, don’t argue, never whine or whinge. I often wonder if G needs a faster mother (The Flash couldn’t keep up with this boy!), if Ellis could have done with more cuddle time when he was a toddler, if Cara needed more than I could give her all those years ago.

The honest truth is, these are the years that pass before our eyes. Yes we may scream and shout about them when we’re experiencing the nightmare which is the toddler years, but they pass too quickly. Having a 14 year old and a ten year old, and a baby who was born yesterday and is not TWO and three quarters. WHERE THE HECK DOES TIME GO????

Anyway, I’ll leave you with a shortie tonight. READ Carl’s post, leave her some love for being kind enough to feature a nutter like me and my mini nutter G. And I’ll be back to normal tomorrow.

Terrible two’s is a scary enough post on its own!
