Raising money for Macmillan
Oh my days. My stomach is a little bit knotty writing this tonight, but I need your help dear reader. Tomorrow is D day. Tomorrow I shave off my gorgeous thick hair to try and make a little bit of difference to a charity that is quite close to my heart.
To be fair I don’t know why I’m so nervous about it. I know that my hair grows so quickly its unbelievable. Before the month is through I will have a pixie cut to be enviable of, but still my insides are churning. I’ve only raised £40 of my designated £200 thus far and I would love to see much, much more support for Macmillan.
If you want to read the whole story behind the shave then you can read it here.
If you would like to donate then this is my page, I would love if you could add to the totals! It doesn’t have to be a huge amount, a few pounds. You can also text SHAVE 18241 to 70550 to raise extra money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
This is how your money and the money I raise will make a difference:
If my total hits £74 it can provide help and guidance for up to 200 people living with cancer from the Macmillan Cancer guide.
If I hit £112 this will ensure that patients, family members and carers receive all the help they need to manage the social problems of living with cancer from a Macmillan social care worker for one day.
And if this total hits £402, this will help run a Macmillan information and support centre for a whole day, ensuring people living with the big C can receive face-to-face support and advice, and to be surrounded by people who know and understand what they are going through.
I will be sharing my shave on my Facebook page Mam Rants and Reviews, LIVE at 11 am.
